I mean, the other day I was listening to Lady GaGa and my friend asked me if i was gay. And why is the majority of the gay people i know obsessed with Madonna? I don’t get it…
Where does the association of Madonna, Lady GaGa and Britney Spears with gay people come from?

lady gaga has always been very involved in gay rights and she is bi herself,
and im a girl
so maybe thats why
but that doesnt mean u would have to be gay to like her, i dont know where that idea comes from
as far as i know, madonna has always been a "gay" icon
im not sure why exactly, but im guessing its cause of her image and her "vulgarity"
i dont think britney is considered a gay icon
but her fans r mostly female, maybe thats why…
im a britney fan myself

Lady Gaga grew up performing in gay night clubs and has lots of gay friends, she is also bisexual. She loves her gay boys and wants equality for all. She recently did a march for gay freedom and such…
Those artist are known to be associated with gay. lesbian, etc. in some way.
Well, Madonna and Lady Gaga are both from New York and rose within the NY fashion/music scene, whose large overlap and close association with the New York gay scene make for a natural fan base for a certain type of trendsetting female performer, would be my guess.
As for Britney Spears, I have no idea …
And whether or not you’re gay, don’t let your friend tell you what kind of music to listen to!
